Filter systems, in-built jacuzzi jets, certain pool cleaners, and other components need one to function. Fortunately, it’s an investment that – these days – you only need to make once. A good pump will last the lifetime of your pool and beyond. Many other parts – the filters, the paint, even the material itself – will often breakdown before your pump gives out.
